KUCCPS feted at the 2022 Fire Awards

The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) is among the winners of the 2022 Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards.

KUCCPS was declared the 1st Runner-Up (Semi-Autonomous Government Agencies) in the IPSAS Accrual Category during an award ceremony held on December 16, 2022 at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi. The theme of the event was: Promoting Excellence in Financial Reporting through Integrating Financial and Non-financial Information.

It is the third year that KUCCPS has been recognised for high quality financial reporting, having won two awards in 2016 (Best in PFM and 1st Runner-Up in IPSAS Accrual Category) and 2021 (1st Runner-Up, IPSAS Accrual Category).

The Fire Award seeks to promote financial reporting excellence, foster sound corporate governance practices and enhance corporate investment and environmental reporting, thus strengthen financial markets and attract investment.

It  is a joint initiative of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK), the Capital Market Authority (CMA) Kenya, and the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE).
