KUCCPS and KCB Foundation Conduct Joint Career Guidance Sessions Countrywide
Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) and KCB Foundation are conducting a series of joint career guidance and mentorship activities across the country.
The programme started on February 19, 2026 at the Technical University of Mombasa, where KUCCPS career guidance officers and mentors from KCB Foundation met with 86 Form Four leavers from Lamu, Kilifi, Mombasa, Kwale, Taita Taveta counties.
The joint initiative is part of a new partnership between the two institutions that seeks to deliver career guidance and mentorship programmes to secondary school students and youth across Kenya, and support them to make informed education and career choices.
It focuses on providing comprehensive career guidance, mentorship and career awareness support to learners, equipping them with accurate information about post-secondary education pathways, skills development opportunities and labour market trends.
The primary beneficiaries are Form Four students preparing to transition to tertiary education, out-of-school youth seeking career direction, learners in underserved and marginalised communities, as well as teachers and career masters supporting students with post-school pathways. The initiative is designed to reach students who may lack access to accurate career information and professional mentorship.
Besides Mombasa County, the activities have been held in Kisumu County, where 433 Form Four leavers were reached including 181 supported by KCB Foundation alongside teachers and parents. In Uasin Gishu County, 133 Form Four leavers participated, 121 of whom are supported by KCB Foundation, in addition their teachers and parents.
More joint career guidance forums by the partnership are coming up in various counties.
