Late Degree Application: KUCCPS Sensitises 2,500 Form Four Leavers in Migori County

Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) joined stakeholders in a sensitisation forum held at Uriri High School in Migori County, where Chief Executive Officer Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome announced instant placement for late degree applicants.

The forum, organised by Uriri Member of Parliament Hon. Mark Nyamita, brought together approximately 2,500 Form Four leavers and 1,100 parents from Uriri, Awendo, Nyatike, Kuria West, Kuria East, Suna West, Suna East and Rongo constituencies.

The KUCCPS team was led by Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Agnes Mercy Wahome, who sensitised participants on university and college placement opportunities, the current late degree application window and Inter-Institutional Transfers.

During the forum, the CEO announced: “Form Four leavers applying for university placement during the current late degree application window are getting instant placement.” She encouraged eligible KCSE candidates who have not yet secured placement to apply through the KUCCPS online application portal at students.kuccps.ac.ke.

Also in attendance were Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Chief Executive Officer Mr. Geoffrey Monari, Universities Fund Acting Chief Executive Officer Dr. Edwin Wanyonyi, the Uriri Deputy County Commissioner, the Uriri Sub-County Director of Education, the Uriri Teachers Service Commission Sub-County Director, Assistant County Commissioners, Chiefs and other invited guests.

The forum provided an opportunity for students, parents and education stakeholders to receive information on university placement, higher education funding and the support available to learners transitioning to higher education.
