The Placement Service took part in the Karatina University Career Week that was held from May 3 to 5, 2017 at the institution’s main campus in Nyeri County. The Placement Service was represented by the Chief Executive Officer, Mr. John Muraguri, accompanied by other officers. The event was attended by students from seven secondary schools.
The KUCCPS team delivered talks on career choice and opportunities, and answered students’ questions during interactions at the Placement Service stand.
The presentations covered various topics including the mandate and functions of the Service, the application procedure for placement, courses, subject combinations, clusters and cluster points, professional body requirements, cut-off points and affirmative action criteria. The team also sensitised the students on why some applicants fail to secure courses they apply for.
